Blogging cowards want to stop Jason Cherniak?
Find the latest critics of Jason Cherniak on the Stop Cherniak blog: http://stopcherniak.blogspot.com/
I wonder who set it up. Bloggers profile gave me little information.
But here's their message:
Who Are We?
We are Liberals who are deeply concerned by Jason Cherniak being the president of Liblogs.
Cherniak's History
- Cherniak knows who a "normal jew" is: "I just wish that the reporter would have interviewed normal Jews who are still supporting the Liberals instead of nutbars like Jewish Women Against the Occupation."
- lead the witchhunt that managed to get young (19 year old) Thomas Hubert booted from the position of VP Communications for the BC Young Liberals
- Cherniak has given constant support for bellicose militarism
- there is a rumour that he sexually harrassed a female member of the Liberal Party by threatening to ruin her reputation after she refused to go out on a date with him
- spread the rumour that, in the last election, "Olivia Chow won because NDP supporters from across the city voted early and often at different polling stations in Trinity-Spadina."
- removed audacious ontology from Liblogs because a co-blogger put up an NDP ad.
We need a new President!
I think if these guys are serious about stopping Jason, they should start to show their real name(s); G!D, I hate anonymous bloggers! At least Jason Cherniak is for real.
Maybe there are only two kinds of Liberals; those like Cherniak and Warren Kinsella, and then the cowards. Or is this a Conservative joke?

McClelland has made some of these same accusations. I doubt its him; might be one of his regulars. Might be a mischief maker.
Thanks for the support.
I am much more bothered by someone being a Liberal than being anonymous.
And I think, very importantly in this case, anonymity is sometimes required for some folks (I have no idea if this is the case here, this is the first I heard of it). Jason has shown himself to hold a grudge and to use anything in his power to crush what he views as dissent or disagreement, or even a lack of loyalty to the Uber-liberal blogger. He has ties to Dion, if I were a Liberal member, and wanted a future in the party, I would not use my real name to point out how bad he has become for the party.
I have personally flipped numerous well educated, well read and thoughtful Liberals away from the party since Dion was elected simply using Cherniak and his words and his ties to Dion.
People generally have a positive attitude about Dion, and genuinely think of him as a good person.
When confronted with the vile words of Cherniak as the head Liberal blogger, and informed that he is closely tied to Dion as his head internet person who Dion has never chastised in any way, it isn't hard to convince them what Dion is really about:
- a right of center screw any one in my way, damn the morals and ethics in a quest for power and a general willingness to abuse power to get it kind of person - that is your typical Liberal leader
Liberals wanted change, unfortnately it seems the Cherniaks of the party are far too vested in the status quo and that is where they will stay. To say Dion's performance as leader has been underwhelming would be the understatement of the century, he's making Jack look like a media wizard and that is a scary day for Canada.

So, you're saying Liberals are either cowards or people like Cherniak and Warren Kinsella. What a choice.
You do realize this isn't much of an endorsement of Liberals? Makes me rather glad to be a lefty.

There's nothing wrong with the accusations; they are all valid. Anyone who thinks that McClelland would put this up as an anonymous, does not know McClelland.

Sid, maybe you shouldn't be in politics at all. It's a lot easier to battle Cherniaks than gosts, who might have the right arguments but not the guts. It's the bold that succeed in life...
We're in a new millenium, and it IS time for change. And I have problems with the Cherniak-types too (who doesn't?). But it's mainly real people that have brought about change (progress if you will); "leaking" of ideas/information (as anonymous does) tends to cause nothing more than uncomfortable hick-ups.

What I'm saying is that I only hear from these two typesp; others are quietly tagging along, minding their own bussiness. It does take guts to stand up for your opinion, especially in a country where "being opinionated" or simply "political" has mainly negative connotations; we need more people who dare to stand for what's right! Are there people like that in the Liberal Party? I'm not so sure....
I'm surprised hardly anyone has left LibLogs while it's being run by a jerk who unfairly calls people racist or anti-semitic as often as I have to take a pee.

Erik, you might be right. There are two kinds of Liberals: thugs and cowards. Cherniak/WK are the former- little insecure men overcompensating with massive arrogance, utter malice and complete denial and intransigence. And the problem is that each has just enough intelligence to pull it off but not enough intelligence to know better. I use a pseudonym because around here calling the Liberals the Libranos is not just cute. It's accurate. McGuinty and his large pack of jackals are running Queen's Park like a bunch of thugs and bullies. The reprisals for standing up to them are real and serious. I prefer wrangling with Conservatives because I see the knife coming. Besides they're actually principled. Wrong but principled. With Liberals, it's wanton opportunism, deceit, intimidation, and vague and tentative principles. Oh yeah, and the knife is in your back.
Tim Peterson's now finding that out. Sorbara just outright lied about a supposed meeting the two had to manufacture the spin of a disgruntled MPP. Truth is Peterson has learned well the lessons of the Liberals.
oops,
could be anyone ...

Erik, I would think this the least contentious thing I wrote. Why do you think against recommendation of committee and citizen's juries McGuinty unilaterally raised the necessary minimum in the referendum on proportional representation to 60%.This is a majority government that acts with inpugnity, recklessly and with that classic sense of entitlement. If you want one unmistakable example, look at what they did to now MPP Cheri DiNovo when they found themselves behind in the polls with a couple of weeks to go in the by-election for Parkdale-High Park. Your friend Cherniak provided some good fodder for that smear campaign. Read more on my blog...
"Your friend Cherniak"
Now, that's funny.
Jason, do you really think repeating libelous statements against you is SUPPORT?
