Screening of Anti-Koran Film Fitna the Movie explained by Radio the Netherlands Worldwide (video, in English)

Whoever wants to understand the context of Geert Wilders' anti-Koran movie "Fitna", please watch this YouTube video (just under 10 minutes). Highly recommended!

From Radio The Netherlands Worldwide

About Fitna, the Netherlands and Wilders

Very rarely has a film sparked off as much pre-release controversy as Dutch MP Geert Wilder’s ‘Fitna, the movie’. Even without knowing what’s in it, 'Fitna’ has got the world asking questions. Questions about the man who made it and his motives, about the country he lives in where his film is allowed. Questions about that country’s government – which issues warnings about the film but does nothing to stop it. And questions about the position of Muslims in The Netherlands. The central character in this film is also struggling with these questions, and decides to travel to The Netherlands in search of answers.

Erik .. here is an interesting development on the story!

Thanks, Buckdog.

It shows you that "free speech" is definitely not at the heart of American business, or is it? Did Network Solutions see the movie? No they didn't. So how can they block the site already?

Anyways, it's not difficult to host a site. Anyone can do it, even Wilders himself. I still have room on my box, so if he needs a place to host it I would do it for him, that's how easy it is....

footnote: this is not say that I support Wilder's views, but I do think as long as he's not breaking any laws (insulting a religion is clearly not a criminal offense), he should be able to distribute his film in whatever form or shape.

"This site has been suspended while Network Solutions is investigating whether the site's content is in violation of the Network Solutions Acceptable Use Policy"

The above can be read at

Then how exactly is Network Solutions "investigating" a movie that's not online yet? Did they hire a psychic?

I started watching "Getting it Right", but as soon as the voice over asked "so why not ban the film and arrest him?" Does this film maker think that was a reasonable question? At what point did Mr. Wilder break the law? This shows your own liberal "Stuck on stupid" thinking. Wow. Wake-up.
As the film maker thought that was a good question, proves a valuable point.

The movie was produced by Radio the Netherlands, mainly to get several points across:
- Wilders is making the movie, not the Dutch Government
- Wilders is bound by the laws of freedom of expression, just like everyone else
- The Dutch government is bound by the laws of freedom expression, just like everyone else

And anyone who did NOT get that message but likes to extrapolate "questions" that fit their own agenda, did not understand the movie.

Of course the movie is staged and one could even consider this video to be state propaganda (RNW is paid for by the Dutch government). But the video does answer questions some might have, and that needed to be answered in English. Well done RNW, I would say.

Why does Muslims get upset when Islam is insulted. What about Muslims insulting Jesus and Christianity? Either this is wrong or it is alright. Insulting someone's religions, any religion, is morally wrong and against everything Jesus Christ has taught us. However, airing this film does not commit a crime.

Wilders Movie Website, Network Solutions, Is Caving Into Radical Islam.

Website is down: "This site has been suspended while Network Solutions is investigating whether the site's content is in violation of the Network Solutions Acceptable Use Policy. Network Solutions has received a number of complaints regarding this site that are under investigation." Read more:

Muslims Against Sharia neither endorse nor condemn "Fitna"; we have not seen the film. However, we find it disturbing that Network Solution suspended "Fitna" website while hosting a multitude of radical Islamic websites, some of which belong to (or are closely affiliated with) terrorist groups.

Well said, MAS. And although I'm not religious I support your fight against the sharia. I'm opposed to any system of law based upon a religion.

All the best.

First of all show me a place or time when we Muslims insulted Jesus or any other prophet. I guess you don't know that for Muslims Muhammad, Moses, Jesus holds the same respect. They are the prophets of Allah. I watched the video but I am not upset for anything but it just missleading. Drawing a cartoon don't make it Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Just read the History and when we ruled the world, we didn't convert anyone by force. or we didn't convert them to Islam before killing them, like they did to Indian American in America. We ruled India, yet we gave them the freedom of their religion, and since Cow was sacre to them, we outlaw of slatugering of the cow. India should be all a Muslim country since we ruled them for ages? and now look at what is the biggest convert religion in the WORLD? ISLAM> now why? google it.

You're an idiot. "when we ruled the world, we didn't convert anyone by force." Tell that to Persians or to Egyptians.
